The most exciting new, upcoming film releases for 2019!

Whether you’re a lover of action, Disney or musical films, you’re in for a treat for the rest of 2019! There are some incredible blockbuster films being released towards the end of the year, with the second instalment of Disney’s ‘Frozen’ making its way to cinemas as of tomorrow!

To celebrate the launch of what we’re sure will be a new Disney classic, we’ve outlined the upcoming film releases that we’re really excited about, and we’d recommend getting to the cinema to see them all once they’re released!

We love a strong, powerful female line-up for a blockbuster, and the new Charlie’s Angels is sure to bring that in bucket-loads! Directed and produced by actress Elizabeth Banks, famous for her appearances in The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect and What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the new action comedy will be the third instalment in the series, following on from the two previous films, ‘Charlie’s Angels’ (2000) and ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle’. The film has an incredible A-List cast with Kristen Stewart, most famous for her role as Bella in the Twilight Saga, Naomi Scott, who just portrayed Princess Jasmine in the new adaptation of Aladdin, and Ella Balinska, who landed the lead role in The Athena this year.

As of last Friday, the film has been released in all big cinemas, and is the more up to date version of the early noughties classics – expect the usual fighting scenes, smart female leads and danger, what more could you want!

If you’d prefer something a bit more light-hearted, particularly with the run up to the most wonderful time of the year (we can mention the ‘C’ word now right?!) then ‘Last Christmas’ will be right up your street! The director of comedy classic Bridesmaids directs the festive hit of the season, starring the incredible Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones fame, Henry Golding and everyone’s favourite, Emma Thompson (we’re sure Love Actually will similarly be on your watch list this Christmas too!) for a lovely story featuring a holiday romance, set in London. Set to the songs of Wham, hence the title ‘Last Christmas’, following the festive 80’s classic, this feel-good film will really help to get you into the Christmas spirit, and warm even the coldest of hearts! Released earlier this month, be sure to catch the classic throughout the run up to the festive period!

If you’re not ready to get into the Christmas spirit just yet, there’s always new release ‘Good Liar’ to add a hint of drama to your evening! Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren star in the release, which launched in cinemas last week, is all about the story of seasoned conman (McKellen) who grows to care for the women (Mirren) he had targeted for his latest scheme – sounds like it’s going to be a hit, and let’s face it, who doesn’t love Queen Helen Mirren?!

We’d love to know what film you’ll be catching in the cinema’s this month, or which films you’ve already caught, as we want to hear your reviews! Make sure to grab all the snacks you can, your most comfortable pair of Everyday Cotton leggings and enjoy!
